Positive Pregnancy Rate and Live Birth Rate
Positive Pregnancy Rates include biochemical, clinical, and live birth cases, which reflects the success rate of each embryo transfer. Biochemical pregnancy is defined as having a β-hCG blood test result of more than or equal to 20 mIU/ml but having no gestational sac on transvaginal ultrasound. A clinical pregnancy is identified with the appearance of a gestational sac on transvaginal ultrasound that did not result in delivery. Live births are pregnancies that have reached 20 weeks’ age of gestation.
Since 2012, KRBC has performed a total of 9,555 embryo transfer cycles of which 4,888 (51.2%) were positive pregnancies that resulted in 3,542 (37.1%) live births. The average age of the patients is 36±5, ranging between 18 to 50 years old.
