    From:Mr./Ms rona [answerer]answer
hi. I am already 42, and my husband is 39, we've been married for 8 years, my husband was diagnosed to have oligospermia, he had colon cancer 7 years ago and had chemotherapy. He was monitored since then. His CA-199 taken last year 2013 is normal. I had my subserous myoma but was removed 6 years ago. I did have an IVF at one of the facility in manila 7 years ago, but was unsuccessful.I did several ultrasound and the results were normal but I did not have any treatment until I found your website. Do I still have the chance to get pregnant this age? Please help. thanks!

answer:Good morning, Rona. We would have to evaluate you and your husband completely. One of the things we have to check is your ovarian reserve. This will help us predict your possible response to treatment. We would also evaluate the status of your husband's sperms. Please visit us for a thorough evaluation.

■ Lab tests [date of publication]2014-01-02 12:46:09
    From:Mr./Ms Ms. Jo [answerer]answer
Hi! We are very interested in your clinic for our baby journey. :)
I'm 33 and hubby's 34, we've been married for 13yrs but haven't got pregnant once. Hubby works abroad for months and we get to spend little time together. i ovulate and my period is like clockwork at 28days cycle, husband's sperm count problem was addressed and medicated. Ob said that all my tests are normal and we are in advanced unexplained infertility. Last sept. 2013, we tried iui but it failed. We wanted to try again but hubby got called for work. After then, I noticed my cycle varied, became 36days, 32days, and now 26days. We wanted to try ivf, this march 2014, when he comes home from abroad.
My question is when do I need to start my work up? Do I need to have my lab tests repeated? I had LH, FSH, PRL, E2, TSH and AMH tests. Do I need to undergo HSG as well if we plan to have IVF come march?
Thank you in advance for your answers.

answer: Good morning. Best to come on your second day of menses. We will check your hormones and do a baseline ultrasound and antral follicle count. we can also check your fallopian tubes on Day 8-11 of the same cycle. Since you've been trying for some time now, and after a failed IUI, IVF might be the next option. Please visit us for a consultation.

■ Second try of ivf [date of publication]2013-11-27 09:56:06
    From:Mr./Ms Joyz [answerer]answer
Hi, i miscarried last october @nine weeks of my pregnancy, as a result of our first try of ivf abroad. My ob cited chromosomal abnormalities as one of the possible causes of my miscarriage. We are in our 8th year of trying to conceive. I am having difficulty to get pregnant because of blocked fallopian tube (both sides). With my condition, when is the best time to try another cycle of ivf? Do i have a chance to conceive naturally?

Thanks.

answer:Good morning. If your tubes are blocked then chances of conceiving naturally is virtually zero. We would have to do another IVF procedure. The best time to come to our clinic is on your 3rd day of menses. we will check your hormones and see if you are ready to start.

■ chances to concieve(w/subserous fibroid lap surgery history) [date of publication]2013-10-15 22:28:49
    From:Mr./Ms aj [answerer]answer
Hi Im 34 y/o and my husband is 38, we are just an ordinary copule married for 4yrs from dvao, both ovaries are normal and HSG tube checkup are both clear & a retro uterus, Ive undergone subserous myo lap surgery,Since then Im having a hard time to concieve. my husband have a low sperm count. we also undergone IUI procedure once but still no luck.Is it possible for me to get pregnant?what are the chances?percentage? Is IVF an option?
We are planning to visit your clinic.thank you.

answer:Good evening. Since you had a pelvic surgery then we would have to reassess your fallopian tubes. Adhesions can set in after any surgery. If your husbands semen analysis is not good, depending on the severity then IUI or IVF is the next option. Since you already underwent IUI then next step would be IVF. Of course before we do any treatment we would first have to evaluate both of you thoroughly. Chances of success would depend on what we find out. Age also plays a major role. We hope that you could visit our clinic. The nest time to come is on the third day of menses so that we can perform some hormone determination and a baseline ultrasound. We could also do a semen analysis. Your husband needs 2-3 days abstinence but not more than 5 days.

■ Chances of getting pregnant (with history of endometrial polyp) [date of publication]2013-10-01 12:18:50
    From:Mr./Ms Ziel [answerer]answer
Hi, i'm 29 y/o and my husband is 34 y/o. We've been married for 5yrs. I've previously undergone 2 D & C operations for endometrial polyp. Since then I'm having a hard time conceiving. We've done several medications and procedures but to no avail. Tests for both of us we're all normal. One contributing factor I think is the stress that I have to deal with on a daily basis with my office work. Given this scenario, what would be my chance of getting pregnant? What would be the best possible way but taking also into consideration the nature of my work?

answer:Good morning. What is the nature of your work? We would have to do a thorough evaluation (both hormone tests and transvaginal ultrasound) and review of history so that we will be able to give you appropriate treatment. Please visit us for a consultation.

■ Possibility of conceiving [date of publication]2013-09-02 15:15:25
    From:Mr./Ms Jing [answerer]answer
I am 39 y.o and my husband is younger than me; he is 32. We live in Bukidnon which is quiet far from Manila and had initial tests with our OB here in 2012. we got married in 2011 and since my age is already advanced, we seek medical help right away. I had HSG/ fallopian tubes checked in 2012 and both tubes are clear. My OB monitored my ovulation cycle through ultrasound and she is positive that i am still ovulating. We tried two cycles chlomiphene with monitored ovulation but unsuccessful. My husband has normal sperm counts.

My concern is, I have 9 mayomas (intramural) in my uterus and my lining is a bit thick. 0.8. The OB told me that the normal is 0.4. My question is, what are my chances of getting pregrant with ivf? Do I need to go through other procedures to get rid of my mayomas and correct the thickness of uterus before I could do ivf?

Thanks. I am planning to visit your clinic but would love to know my chances.

answer:Good afternoon. We would have to do an ultrasound to assess your uterus. Hormonal profile is also needed because it will tell us your ovarian reserve. For your age, your chances with IVF is 50% per blastocyst transfer. Of course we would have to take every condition in consideration. We hope that you can visit us for a consultation.
